NAYB Parents

We are grateful to have such a supportive and helpful group of parents. Our school couldn't function without you! In addition to the volunteer opportunities listed below, we always need help backstage at our performances. If you are interested, please let us know!

Performance Rehearsals & Day-of Tips:
Every effort is made to keep rehearsals as short as possible, but there will be times when your child will need to sit and wait while other groups rehearse. When space permits, it is a nice opportunity for the dancers to watch other groups rehearse, but feel free to bring books or other quiet activities to help pass the time.

There is typically a dress rehearsal on the day of the performance. Please be prepared to be at the performance for an extended period of time. For shows like the ones in Staten Island, it is a good idea to bring lunch and/or snacks.

Costumes. All costumes are provided by NAYB and will be distributed at rehearsal. We ask that you handle them with great care and return them to us at the end of the performance. There is sometimes food served at rehearsals - children in costumes should wear a smock or other protective garment so that the costumes are not soiled.
