Elizabeth Flores, NAYB Creative Director & Co-founder
Elizabeth sudied on full scholarship and performed as soloist for the Bolshoi Ballet. Accepted to the London Royal Ballet School, and trained with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet. Voice and Musical theater with The Juilliard School Evening Division and choreographed for their musical theater presentations. Recipient of the 1999 Eckerd Salute for Women, The 2000 Seventeen/Covergirl Volunteer Award, The Governor’s Certificate of Recognition for volunteerism and community service also recognized for contributions to the arts by the NY State Senate. She has staged numerous ballets including: The Nutcracker, The Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake (with full orchestra), Coppelia, and Don Quixote. Her original works include: The Helen Keller Ballet and Inspiration of The Dance which premiered at Carnegie Hall’s Weil Recital Hall. Head of Summerdance at Ballet Academy East 2001 and 2002. After school teaching faculty at The Dalton School 2002-2004.
Previously the Director of the Harkness Youth Ballet at the 92nd Street Y. Dances professionally with Ballet America, Brooklyn Ballet and Victoria Ballet Theater.
